Triple Standard Applies to Israel

Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was on the Sean Hannity show today, and he couldn’t have summed up better the hypocrisy of the so-called “International community” toward Israel.

I don’t have a transcript of Netanyahu’s comments (but check back — if I can find it I’ll post it here); however, here’s the gist of it:

Over the last few years, Israel has done everything the International community has asked it to do: withdraw from Lebanon and Gaza completely, where she was being attacked by terrorists. In return for these withdrawals, the International community promised peace, an end to terrorist attacks and the dissolution of Hezbollah. Israel has fulfilled her end of the bargain absolutely, while the other sides have not. In return for keeping her promise, Israel has had soldiers kidnapped and rockets fired into her cities by these same terrorists, and when Israel retaliates in self-defense, the International community criticizes….drum roll please…Israel! The hypocrisy here is unprecedented — unfathomable — even for the International community.

As for the Triple Standard Netanyahu alluded to, terrorists and sponsoring states are treated one way, free and democratic nations are treated another way, and Israel alone is treated a third way. The International community always capitulates to the poor, misunderstood terrorists who intentionally murder innocents. The free, democratic nations of the world are allowed to respond to terrorist attacks with force; however, when Israel is attacked, she is never to respond with force. She is always condemned, and even though terrorists fire missiles indiscrimately into Israel’s cities killing civilians, Israel is criticized for using “disproportionate force” when she uses precision bombing to take out military targets and limit civilian casualties.

The UN, NATO, EU and the rest of the “International community” (apparently including the US State department and the Vatican) are feckless hypocrites. Shut your traps, you appeasers. Thank GOD for Israel — the only democracy in the Middle East and the best hope for that region.

To the “peace at any price” crowd, why aren’t you holding a vigil outside Haifa, holding hands, burning incense, and singing Kum Ba Ya, hmmm? I know your definition of peace, you fools, but do you? To those panty wastes out there who deny Israel’s right to exist, don’t you get tired of performing the anatomically-difficult act involving your head and rear? At least it explains why you’re blind to reality.
