Amnest DREAM Dead. To Be Revived.

Mark Krikorian of the Center for Immigration Studies has this post in the Corner noting that the DREAM Act amnesty is dead for now. As usual, the Shamnesty crew is already planning to revive amnesty by adding it to the farm bill next month. Eternal vigilance and all of that.

Senate Democrats have given up trying to append the DREAM Act amnesty to the defense authorization bill, though Sen. Reid says he wants to pass the amnesty before Congress adjourns in November. The next amnesty on the menu is the “AgJOBS” amnesty for farmworkers, which may be added to the farm bill next month and would give legal residence to perhaps 3 million illegal-alien farmworkers and their families (and, no doubt, to lots of non-farmworkers lying to over-worked bureaucrats, as happened with 1993 World Trade Center bomber Mahmoud Abouhalima). Numbers USA reports that “Pro-amnesty advocacy groups are telling their members that Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) and Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) have promised them that AgJOBS will be attached to the farm bill this fall and be signed into law.”

Michelle Malkin has more.
