Freedom in the Balance

In the most unsurprising news of the week, Hillary Clinton has revealed that, as president, she will implement socialized medicine in this country.

Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton vowed Monday to create a universal health care system if elected, saying she “learned a lot” during the failed health care effort of her husband’s presidency.

“We’re going to have universal health care when I’m president _ there’s no doubt about that. We’re going to get it done,” the New York senator and front-runner for the 2008 nomination said.

“I believe the American people are going to make this an issue,” said Clinton. “I believe we’re in a better position today to do that than we were in ’93 and ’94. … It’s one of the reasons I’m running for president.”

If a Democrat is elected President in 2008 then the threat of socialized medicine will become frighteningly real; however, if Hillary is elected, nothing short of a revolution will prevent it. Under Hillary Clinton, socialized medicine will be inevitable, and if you aren’t scared half to death about that prospect then you need to wake up.

If the baby boomers give us socialized medicine, it will be their last, greatest failure. The destruction of individual freedom will be complete; bumbling bureaucrats will control the life-and-death decisions of every American; the great experiment in freedom known as “The United States of America” will be mortally compromised, and our children and grand-children will never forgive us.

Do you think I exaggerate? I hope you’re right. Are you willing to bet with your loved one’s lives?
